No doubt, you’re already seeing those gigantic bags of mini chocolate bars or decorations at your local Ralph’s. Maybe you’ve even bought your Donald Trump mask at Party City.
Halloween is ’round the bend and we have a couple L.A. tricks and treats that are much, much better than that half-unwrapped Butterfinger at the bottom of your kid’s haul.
Over at The Wallace in Culver City, Exec Chef Joel Miller will have some tricks up his sleeve, come the 31st of October. During dinner service, don’t miss the bottomless BLACK Heaven’s Gate Punch, a mix of rum, Candy Corn simple syrup, lime juice, and — squid ink – for $14.
The restaurant is also offering $1 oysters all night long, served with Blood Mignonette made with hibiscus and annatto. (Can’t you just hear that creepy Vincent Price laugh at the end of Thriller?)
If you’re more into treats than tricks, BoNuage, our favorite pâtisserie for gluten free sweets is offering a free Pumpkin Spice cloud cake to guests in costume at the newly launched Beverly Hills location (9523 Santa Monica Boulevard.) Anyone have a Marie Antoinette costume we can borrow?
