Cascabel and Sweetsalt chef/owner Alex Eusebio is bringing his modern taqueria game to Burbank’s Cascabel’s Taco Shop. The Top Chef alum owns two Toluca Lake dining spots. The bright space along Toluca Lake/Burbank’s Restaurant Row features polished concrete flooring, clean white walls, a trend-setting brick and tile work but it’s all about the food.
“We’re really excited to present the Cascabel version of a traditional street taco shop to the area,” says Eusebio. The menu features options from Vegetable to Salmon and Snapper to Top Sirloin and Duck. Two standouts are The Fried Chicken Mole taco with chipotle black bean puree, tarragon salsa verde and cabbage slaw and the Lobster Taco with Murita Chile Aioli and topped with and Citrus, Chive, Radish, and Serrano sSlaw.
Eusebio has also incorporated his famous Braised Short Rib recipe from Cascabel into the taco menu. Cascabel is also serving breakfast tacos and burritos. Stop by for weekend brunch, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 3 PM. Standout items include Chile Rellenos, Boquerones Toast, and Buñuelos. Yum!
