Discover one of Germany’s most beautiful cities: Munich

Beer, Pretzels, and Lederhosen. And Sausages. And Sauerkraut. When we stereotype Germany, these are properly the first things that come to mind.

If you wish to experience all of that and much more, you should hop on a plane and travel to Munich in Southern Germany. The capital of Bavaria is not only one of the most beautiful cities this amazing country has to offer, but also the birthplace of the legendary Oktoberfest, of BMWs and one of the most successful soccer teams in the World – FC Bayern Munich. And of the Lederhosen (short leather pants). And beer (which counts among basic foodstuffs in Bavaria since 1871). And the “Weisswurst” (a special kind of white sausage).

As for Sauerkraut … we’re not so sure. This typical side dish seems to be more of a national culinary all-star throughout Germany. On a more sensual note – which could be interesting for all the single guys traveling to Germany – Munich is also home to one of the most high-class escort agencies in Germany.

Finding suitable hotels in Munich …

… is quite easy. Munich is one of the top 10 tourist destinations in Germany. On top, the city is also one of the most important business hubs of the country. So, when it comes to finding the perfect hotel in Munich, you’ll find plenty of options. If you’re the kind of luxury traveler, who is willing to spend around 15,000 Euro (+/- 17,000 USD) per night, you could rent the “Royal Ludwig Suite” in the Four Season Kempinski Hotel. This grand luxury suite measures 2045 ft² and is one of the most expensive places to relax in Germany! If money does matter, you may always scale down a little. If you’re into design, urban style and fresh living trends, check out some of the cool design hotels in Munich! As an example: The “Flushing Meadows Hotel & Bar”. This place is practically bursting with creative vibes. Each of its 17 loft studios and suites has been designed in collaboration with a different artist from the European music, sport or art scene. If 117 Euro per night are within your budget, you should definitely give this super hip design hotel in Munich a try! If that’s too fancy for your taste and you don’t want to spend all your money on the hotel bill, you’ll find plenty of comfortable hostels, guest houses and cheap hotels throughout the city. And if that’s still too much, give couch surfing a try …

Munich: A foodie’s paradise!

Coming back to Beer, Wurst and Sauerkraut … don’t leave Munich without at least one visit to a typical beer garden. These pillars of the local culinary scene can be found throughout the city during the summer. Not only will you get to enjoy the very hearty German cuisine at its best and drink one (or more) amazing beers, you’ll also get to know the locals. You’ll sit on long tables with random people and it will take just a few minutes until you’ll be chatting with your neighbor. If you are visiting Munich during the winter season, go and visit one of the local breweries! Here you’ll have the same experience – only indoors. If you’re not a big fan of having huge amounts of meat on your plate and prefer a good glass of wine to a mug of beer: Don’t worry! Munich’s culinary scene is very diverse, and you may dive from one gum-smacking highlight into the next. From a 3-star gourmet temple to fantastic vegan restaurants: Munich has it all!
