So Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. It’s not too late to order a dozen roses or something with carats. Some of us are still struggling to find a Valentine. Either way, you’ve got to check out this partnership venture between Sweet Rose Creamery & Valerie Confections.
Whether you’re planning on spending Valentine’s weekend under the covers watching that Hallmark Channel Movie with Adrian Grenier or have rezzies at a fab restaurant with your significant other, we all need CHOCOLATE.
And when we’re talking Sweet Rose Creamery ice cream-inspired Valerie Confections chocolate — oh, boy.
The small-batch ice cream shop known for chef/owner Shiho Yoshikawa’s whimsical ice creams and frozen novelties has teamed with award-winning chocolatier Valerie Gordon with flavors taking a cue from Yoshikawa’s most popular flavors. Fresh Mint with Chocolate Chips features dark chocolate and dried spearmint leaves. Cookies & Cream folds dark chocolate wafer cookies into white chocolate and the Neapolitan pairs white and dark chocolate with strawberries. Shiho’s friend, graphic designer Alice Fukushima created the playful retro wrapper.
“Chocolate and ice cream are such a natural pairing, so what better way to combine the two than in a bar? Valerie is the perfect partner, as our creativity is fueled by what we find at the local farmers’ markets, and she shares our commitment to using only the very best ingredients. We can’t wait for our fans to try this sweet collaboration,” says Shiho.
“Shiho and I are united in creating celebratory moments through dessert, so we had a lot of fun dreaming up ways we could translate ice cream into bar form,” says Valerie. “This collection evokes a sense of nostalgia and playfulness because of the very classic ice cream flavors they represent.”
About Sweet Rose Creamery
