Last Minute Fourth a la Playa: Tallula’s in SM

If you’re a last-minute guy or girl looking for something to do tomorrow, why not head for some beach time followed by a marg and Mexican at the Rustic Canyon Restaurant Group’s newest addition, Tallula’s? Named for Josh Loeb and Zoe Nathan’s daughter, this stylish spot is perfect for a pitcher of drinks, farmer’s market-forward dishes and a tray of nachos.

Rustic Canyon chef/co-owner Jeremy Fox, Josh, and Zoe are fulfilling their dream of a neighborhood Mexican restaurant that sources ingredients from the Santa Monica Farmer’s market with a bar focused on Agave-based spirits, fresh market produce, as well as a well-curated wine and beer list paired to match the menu.

Grab your plus one or some friends for a pitcher of Tallula’s Margaritas — with Tapatio Blanco, fresh lime, Leopold orange liqueur, and agave or seasonal Peach Margs with house-infused peach tequila, apricot liqueur, Manzanilla sherry, lime, and peach syrup. Or check out the Avocada-lada — with Selvarey rum, Taylor’s Velvet Falernum, fresh avocado and lime, pineapple, and egg white.

Pair with some Guac, Salsa & Chips or Nachos “Sencillo” – with cotija and fontina, spicy giardiniera, buttermilk crema and salsa.

Don’t forget some pre-Fireworks dessert — Don’t miss the Corn Ice Cream Sundae with Murray Family Farms blueberry compote and caramel popcorn because yum!
