OpenTable Launches Pay with OpenTable for Androids

You’re out to dinner and forget your wallet at home. (This has been shown to occur more frequently on a first date.)

Well, now, if you’ve got your smartphone, you can still pony up for the bill (or at least your share!)

OpenTable, the premiere online dining reservations delivery system, has just launched an Android version of their popularĀ Pay with Open TableĀ feature for Android phones. The functionality is very similar to the experience available to iPhone users.

When booking a table via Open Table, add your credit card info. You will be able to view your check and pay for the meal using the OpenTable Android app.

How does it work? You check in with the host. Following the meal, you’ll be able to view and pay your check. Your server will see you’ve paid and close your check. You’ll receive your receipt via email. It’s that simple.

LA area restaurants participating in the mobile pay program include Bestia, Fig & Olive, Craft Los Angeles, Sage, A Plant-Based Bistro, Obica Mozzarella Bar in Century City, Short Order, and Spice Affair. Check out the whole list and more info about the mobile pay program here.

We can’t wait to try it!
