With Father’s Day around the corner, there’s still some time left for last-minute rezzys at some popular L.A. hot spots.
Nick + Stef’s Steakhouse: Steak and beer — amplified. Exec Chef Megan Logan and Golden Road Brewery are doing a Father’s Day Special ($79) — 24-ounce bone-in Rib Eye with Golden Road Brewery Wolf Mother (Specialty Release Triple IPA), along with a choice of one classic steakhouse side. The IPA, brewed just twice a year, is limited supply — just 250 cases for the general market in California AND Hawaii combined and Nick + Stef’s has three cases of those 19.2 oz. cans! The Father’s Day Special is first come, first serve with an a la carte menu available.
Ray’s & Stark Bar: Treat dad to brunch or dinner on the outdoor patio overlooking LACMA’s Urban Light Installation. Exec Chef Fernando Darin is preparing a special Whole Red Snapper with Calabrian Chili Chimichurri. Brunch will be served from 10 AM.
Nerano: Take dad on a jaunt to the Amalfi Coast — in the heart of Beverly Hills. Exec Chef Michele Lisi is presenting Italian brunch and lunch dishes including Pizza Bianca all’Uovo with Fio di Latte Mozzarella, Crispy Guanciale, Grilled Asparagus and Farm Egg; Nerano Benedict with Grilled Italian Bread, Smoked Proscuitto, Hollandaise and Sauteed Spinach; and Bistecca a Colazione. Brunch guests 21 plus will receive a complimentary blood orange Mimosa. Lunch is served from 11:30 AM to 2 PM; dinner service at 5 PM; reservations recommended.
For dinner, signature apps and primi include Crudo di Salmone e Ravenelli; Fritto Misto; and Burrata Caprese with Apulian Burrata, Tomato Confit & Arugula Pesto. Mains include Bianca Pizza with Stracciatella, California Baby Artichokes, Squash Blossoms & Black Truffles; Spaghetti alla Nerano with Spaghetti Rustichella, Sauteed Zucchini, Squash Blossoms, Provolone & Basil; Orecchiette all’Agnello with Colorado Lamb Ragu, English Peas, Tuscan Mint & Fiocchi di Burrata; and a Bone-In USDA Prime Ribeye with Grilled Asparagus & Whipped Fingerling Potatoes.
Le Petit Paris: If dad’s a Francophile or doesn’t mind hanging with one, head to DTLA for a Father’s Day Brunch (10 AM to 3PM.) Buffet ($59 adults/$29 children) here, featuring traditional brunch fare, as well as a premium carving station (top sirloin roast with béarnaise, peppercorn and blue cheese signature sauces); an oyster bar and shrimp on ice, truffled scrambled eggs, make-your-own eggs benedict, charcuterie, homemade paté, imported cheeses, and more. Bottomless cocktails make for a nice add-on: Mimosa ($15), Bellini ($16), Bloody Mary ($18). For dessert, guests will enjoy macarons, tarts and crêpes.
Boneyard Bistro: Over the Hill, Valley vet restaurateur Aaron Robins salutes dads with a special menu served from noon on, with highlights including Crispy Furikake Shrimp Cocktail; Pastrami & Rye Spring Rolls — with house-cured pastrami, sautéed onions, coleslaw, Havarti cheese, and rye “bread” aioli; the “Dad Burger” with Kobe patty, fried pickles, horsey aoili, cheddar, thick-cut bacon, and honey-chipotle sauce; Prime Rib with garlic mash, grilled corn on the cob, au jus, and horseradish cream; and to top things off, Mud Pie Cheesecake.
Culina in the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills: Newly appointed Exec Chef Mirko Paderno is presenting an expansive Father’s Day Brunch Buffet ($125/adults; $63/kids 5-12) at Culina from 10 AM to 3 PM, including Carving, Dim Sum, Sushi, and Outdoor Grilling Stations, as well as a Man Cave Station – with Pulled Pork Sliders, Spicy Chicken Wings, BBQ Pork Ribs, and Peroni on Tap.
Happy Father’s Day!
