WaltzIn (So Much More Than A) Rezzy App Hosts 5/9 Fundraiser

From the Revere Must File: Foodie kids who want to make a difference, tomorrow night, WaltzIn is sponsoring a pretty rad fundraiser with all proceeds from WaltzIn bookings donated to LA Kitchen.
Download the app here.  Reserve an experience tomorrow night and the restaurant you choose will donate proceeds to L.A. Kitchen. Fun experience/fundraiser. What’s to lose?
WaltzIn is the new rezzy app that brings the “The chef is my BFF/I’m a food writer” experience to users. Think of it as a low-key chef’s table experience. No menus — just the best possible meal all the way through dessert — the night you’re dining.
On the vendor side, WaltzIn does all rezzies by ticketing so the app can seamlessly assist restaurants with large parties and special events. Pretty cool,  eh?

Current restaurant partners in LA include:
The Cannibal
The Rose
Belle Vie
Hart & The Hunter
Lost at Sea
How the App Works:
Open the app. Choose the size of your party and date and you’ll see all your options with WaltzIn prices per person for that experience. The app gives you the ability to take a peek at a sample menu and even invite guests.
(Since this is L.A., Sophie can let the restaurant know she’s gluten free, Ian is on Paleo, and Danielle is plant-based.)Check out, hand over your credit card, and voila! You’ll get your reservation info, a full breakdown on ticket price, which always includes tax and tip in advance, and the cancellation policy.
That’s it!
The Story, in a Nutshell:
I’ll be pow-wowing with WaltzIn founders Nick Smith and Kristel Arabian later this week so stay tuned for my upcoming interview. The duo met as Venice neighbors; Nick brings a background in nonprofit, tech, and finance (Omprakash, TikTok, Goldman Sachs). Prior to meeting Nick, Kristel ran lunch and brunch at Joe’s, was exec sous chef on the opening of Milo + Olive, and was a chef recruiter.
Nick knew how to connect people to cool experiences but needed a kitchen pro to assist. Following the start-up culture, they work from Nick’s garage in Mar Vista.
About L.A. Kitchen (LAK):
LAK is an all-inclusive nonprofit that engages those impacted by poverty, hunger, aging, recidivism, and foster care as active participants in creating solutions through economic empowerment, job training,  and placement of graduates in living wage jobs with benefits, as well as producing and distributing healthy, affordable meals with an emphasis on serving a rapidly aging senior population.
So if you’re free tomorrow, book a reservation on the app, bring your friends or get on Bumble ASAP. Raise money for important causes. And get some really good food.
Stay tuned for my interview with WaltzIn founders and you know we’ll be checking this out!
