Yalla, Farm to Fork Mediterranean Concept, Opens in Culver City

Culver City, our newest fave neighorhood to explore, is home to the second SoCal outpost of Yalla, a Mediterranean grill with the best fro yo in town.

Yalla’s menu draws from Greece, Morocco, Turkey, Lebanon, Tunisia, Egpyt, and Israel. Choose from skewers of tri-tip, chicken, or salmon, gluten free falafel (with GMO-free garbanzo beans), slow roasted chicken shwarma, or kefta, Turkish ground lamb and beef.

The second choice is to decide if you’d like your main served in a wrap, as a power salad (Yes, with kale and balsamic apricots), a fattoush salad with pita chips, or a plate with basmati rice, spiced lentils or veggies, and up to three sides, dishes like perfectly spiced Moroccan carrots, a tasty Israeli couscous salad, and Greek potato salad. Of course, there are all the requisite Mediterranean spreads like hummus, tahini, tzatziki, baba ganoush, and harissa. And there’s this cute mini pita!

Everything is eco-friendly, from the organic ingredients to the compostable dishes, utensils, and packaging. They even grow their own herbs!


And hands-down the best fro yo in SoCal made from plain Greek yogurt topped with chopped baklava, chocolate pita chips, honey, chocolate, or sour cherries.

If we lived closer, we’d be hitting that baklava yogurt every day!
